What are the objectives of APSAS ?
- Establish a platform and space for the promotion of Sino-African studies;
- Promote research and innovation through the organisation of short-term training programmes and access to a rich academic literature;
- Organise short-term training programmes on Chinese language learning, research methodology and educational technology;
- To constitute a showcase to promote an objective and mutual knowledge of China by Africans, and of Africa by the Chinese;
- To provide a platform for the popularisation of opportunities in Africa and China.
What are the requirements for membership in APSAS?
Art 3: APSAS is mainly composed of active members, honorary members and adherents.
Section 1: An active member of APSAS is any founding member of the association, as well as the management team.
Section 2: An honorary member is any person of good character who assists the association physically, morally, intellectually or financially, or who receives the said honorary distinction awarded by the association for services rendered to the association.
Section 3: Any person wishing to become a member of the association, who has registered and regularly participates in the activities of the association, shall be considered an adhering member.
Where do APSAS’s resources come from?
(See Article 8 of the Statute of the Association)
Art 8: The resources of APESA come from membership fees; activities organised by its members; any other legally authorised resources.
- Section 1: Membership fees are required for all active and associate members of the association.
- Section 2: All receipts of funds or goods must be sent to the treasurer and checked by the financial auditors.
